Divine Spirit Shield's Special Effect

The Divine Spirit Shield's Special Effect does not work every time we get damaged.

For example, That One Guy and I went to Corp today, and when ever Corp hits a zero we get a message saying that the Divine Spirit Shield has absorbed 30% of the damage and that the damage absorbed was removed from our prayer. However when Corp hits us with damage the Shield's Special effect does not work.

If a corp hits a 0 it takes 30% from 0. Which the answer to that is 0. So technically it does work.

I know that it does work, but it is only working when corp hits 0.
And when corp hits any other damage it doesn't say anything about the shield absorbing damage, neither does our prayer decrease.
