Rules.
1. Offensive/Inappropriate Language, Swearing, Censor Evading and Flaming
It is broken down into four parts.
1a. Offensive/Inappropriate Language: Any use of offensive or inappropriate language is inexcusable and not tolerated. You are old enough to settle things accordingly and handle things with care. You are not allowed to use any sort of offensive language towards another person, anywhere.
1b. Swearing: Swearing is allowed to a certain extent. You are allowed to swear as long as it is not directed at anyone but yourself.
1c. Censor Evasion: Evading the censor will not be tolerated for any reason. You are not allowed to censor evade to swear even. Example: ?F**k you, or S**t?.
1d. Flaming: The use of slanderous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, abusive, insulting, threatening and harassing comments towards other users are not tolerated.


2. Spamming
All unnecessary and irrelevant posts and topics is considered spamming, plain and simple. The rule is broken down into four parts.
2a. Singles: Creating topics ANYWHERE, including the forum games, with a single word, emoticon, or a strand of random numbers is considered spamming.
2b. Singles II: Creating replies with a single word or emoticon is ONLY tolerated in sections where your post count does not increase.
2c. Gravedigging: When someone brings a dead thread back to life by posting on a very old thread. If this thread is months old, and a common thread (simple suggestions, PKs, feedback, rants, etc.) and someone decides to post on it, then it is gravedigging.
2d. Bumping: Considered spamming in every section except private sections like Bug Reporting. It is simple, if your thread is good and should stay then other people will post relevant information and feedback on it.


3. Scamming
Any sort of scamming is against the rules. People who scam will have all of their accounts banned. Do not trust anybody in a Trust Trade or Trust Duel as YOU are giving consent when doing these activities.


4. Inappropriate Content
Posting any sort of pictures or videos of violent, pornographic, or offensive content is not permitted.


5. Links to Other Sites and Referral Links
Only commonly accepted links are permitted on these forums, at all.
5a. Community Links: Links to other communities include MoparScape, Rune-Server, BB, etc. as long as the links are within the bounds of Rule 6.
5b. Media Links: All media links are generally accepted as long as they are within the bounds of Rule 4.
5c. Referral: All referral links, are not allowed. Not a single referral link, for any site.


6. Advertising
You are not allowed to advertise any other private server, at all. If its a community link to rune-server which has another advertisement on it which leads to another private server. Any sort of unauthorized advertising will get you permanently banned.


7. RuneScape Content
YouTube videos, RuneScape pictures, and RuneScape discussion is allowed. Anything else related to RuneScape (clans, foreign links, not-direct links to PK videos, referrals, voting, etc.) is not permitted.


8. Disrespecting Members of Staff and/or Their Decisions
ALL staff decisions are final. If you have a problem with a decision then deal with it in private with the staff member. All staff members watch over each other. If a higher authority realizes that an unjust decision was made, then compromise will follow.


9. Staff Impersonation
Claiming to be a member of staff when you're really not is completely against the rules. Making names to make it seem like you're a staff member, is also against the rules. This rule has no warning, and is a permanent ban when not followed.


10. Account Sharing
You are not allowed to share your account(s) at all. Anybody found sharing account(s) will be suspended and the account will be permanently "banned".


11. Real World Trading
The only things you're allowed to trade on this private server and forums are Sedex items for other Sedex items;Sedex items for Sedex gold. Punishments range all the way up to a permanent ban.
11a. Services: Fire caping, doing a quest, minigame, etc. are not allowed.
11b. Non-Sedex: Any sort of non-Sedex trading is not allowed (RuneScape, Gift Cards, etc.)


12. Bug Abuse
Abusing any sort of bug is against the rules. Found a bug? Report it here http://www.sedex.smfnew.com/index.php?board=7.0 . The section is private, and therefore, nobody else except for staff members will be able to see your threads/posts. Don't tell anybody of the bug, then you become an even worse of a person by sharing a bug.

13. Foreign Language
The only permitted language to be used in-game or on the Sedex forum is English.  Sedex is run by English speaking people and we ask you have the courtesy to speak our language. Users have tried to use other languages as a method of ignoring the rules will be punished.

14. Personal Information
Posting anyones personal information without their permission is completely against the rules. Personal information is personal. This includes addresses, phone numbers, pictures, videos, etc.

15. Macroing
Macroing is the use of third party software that gives you an advantage. You are not allowed to use any sort of autoing tools to gain an advantage. This includes, but is not limited to: auto-typing, auto-clicking, mouse recorders, autoswitchers, autoalchers, etc.

16. Begging for Staff
Staff is earned not given. Any player who asks for staff, lowers their chance of
recieving staff. Players shall get 2 warnings on begging then they shall be muted for 2 hours.

i. Global Rule List
1. Offensive Language is allowed. Although please don't use excessively, and please don't use to offend people.

2. We do NOT condone racism, sexism or discrimination in any way shape or form. Any of this will be dealt with swiftly by the owners personally.

3. Do not troll other people.

4. Do not advertise anything not-affiliated with Sedex. Examples are Runescape and other private servers.

5. Don't abuse bugs/glitches in our system. Report them on them to the owners of the server.

6. Don't spam excessively.

7.. Respect all players and all the staff.

8. Do not advertise the real world trading of goods, or the sale of Runescape related items.

9. Keep flaming to a minimum, if a staff member asks you to stop, stop immediately.

10. Impersonating staff members will result in a instant IP-Ban.

11.. Do not multi-log. Ask other players to transfer items for you (preferably staff)

12. Item Duplication is NOT allowed, people found guilty will have there accounts IP-Banned, and all the items will be emptied. We ask for players to report any suspicious activity.

13.Trade at your own risk. Staff members DO NOT refund items. Although if you provide correct evidence, the player involved will be punished.

14. Keep your passwords protected, if you get hacked, this is not our fault if you gave your password away.

15. No Pornographic, Gruesome, or Offensive material must be shown in the chatbox or on the forum.

16. Posting of other peoples personal social networking profiles will result in an immediate removal from the forums.

17. Please don't post in incorrect sections. If there isn't a section for what you want to post, please post it in the off-topic section of the forums.

18. Please don't post XaT chats or any variation in your signatures.


ii. Procedures and Staff Rules
     a. Forum Staff
After one offence, a verbal warning on a thread MUST be given. Preferably quote this and post it in the situation reports.
After two offences, another verbal warning, and an infraction which can be edited by clicking on the user's profile. This infraction is then posted in the staff section
After three offences, a second infraction, and a further warning. This infraction also posted in the staff section
After four offences, the final infraction is given, and a moderator+ can ban the player for up to 7 days, depending on the severity of the offence.
If the player returns and still breaks rules once returned after this ban, a Forum Administrator+ will deliver an IP and E-Mail ban will be given automatically, and the account will be deleted.
     b. In-Game Staff
After one offence, a verbal warning given.
After two offences, a second verbal warning, followed by use of the ::jail command. Where you will tell the accused what they did wrong, and make it clear more serious punishments will be given if it happens again.
After three offences,  ::jail again, and use the ::mute command.
After four offences, there are multiple methods of dealing with the situation, depending on the seriousness of the offence.
If the player makes another account and starts breaking rules again, ::ipmute or ::ipban commands can be used by the Administrators.
     c. Staff Rules
This section of the rules is the procedures for dealing with a staff member breaking any of the rules.
After one offence, have a personal warning.
After two offences, will have a temporary demotion.
After three offences, will have a permanent demotion.

Respect ALL members of the community
Print-Screen ALL offences you see. This is so if people appeal, you can provide evidence to back up the punishment.

**The rules above are ment for everyone, this means everyone including staff members must follow.**
