[Rune Theory]

The Basics

Okay, so you want to start training slayer. First thing you're going to need to do is see your slayer master. This is Duradal who is found between the prayer restoration altar and the bank at home.

He will then give you a task with a difficulty relative to your combat level.
Generally, level's 3-50 combat should get tasks from the Easy task set.
Level's 50-100 combat should get tasks from the Medium task set.
Level's 100+ combat should get tasks from the Hard task set.

In addition to these task sets, Omgitsbob12 is working on an Elite tasks set, however I'm not sure which combat levels this applies to so I will leave it out until I know for certain.

The Tasks

Easy Task Set

These tasks you should be given if you are either below 50 combat, or if you decide to cancel your current task (if it's in the medium, hard or elite task sets)

The following format will be used for showing details of all the monsters in all the task groups.

NPC Name: Crawling Hand
Combat Level: 8

Best Drops: Mystic Gloves
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Slayer Tower.    From the teleport area, run a few paces west and you should see them.

NPC Name: Banshee
Combat Level: 23

Slayer XP: 2640
Best Drops: Herbs/Runes
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Slayer Tower.   From the teleport area, run past the crawling hands, all the way around the ground floor until you come to the northeast side, then head back south, and you should see 4-5 of them, head round the corner and there are more.

Best Drops: 2000 coins (100%drop)
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Hill Giants.   No further directions required.

NPC Name:Rock Crab

Best Drops: Granite armour/Dragonstones.
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Rock Crabs.   No further directions required.

NPC Name: Ghost
Combat Level: 19

Best Drops: Law Runes/Hatchets
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Taverly Dungeon.   From the teleport area, run all the way north until you reach a bend, go round the bend to the east, and you shall find 3 Ghosts.
Alternatively, City Teleports -> Lumbridge.  There are also a few spawns here.

Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Taverly Dungeon.   From the teleport area, head north towards the Ghosts, and you should see an area to the south, this area has a load of bat spawns.

NPC Name: Chaos Dwarf

Best Drops: Dragon Scimitar/Mace
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Taverly Dungeon.   From the teleport area, head east through the tunnel into the Blue Dragon area

Best Drops: Mining Helmet (I think)
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Minigames Teleport -> Duel Arena.   No further directions required.

Best Drops: Unsure [PLEASE HELP]
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: City Teleports -> Lumbridge.  From the teleport area, run east out of the castle gates, then across the bridge towards Al-Kharid. Once on the other side of the bridge you should see some near the gate into Al-Kharid.

NPC Name: Chaos Druid

Best Drops: Herbs
Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: Monster Teleport -> Taverly Dungeon.   Head north to the turn, head east past the ghosts and bat cave entrance, and you should see them at the end of that passage.

Location and Directions from the nearest teleport: City Teleport -> Lumbridge.  From here, run east out of the castle. Then head east over the bridge, and then north past the goblins. On the east side of the path there should be a cowfield with plenty of cows in.
